A Collaborative Effort of Local Churches to Reach Cocke County with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
God Sized ChangeEmpower Cocke County desires to see positive life change by helping individuals cease destructive behavior through following the teaching of Jesus Christ. We intend to do this by calling local bodies of Christ together, working side by side in one accord, to accomplish what no one church can do alone.

We are partnering with Save the Children to have an activity center for Kindergarten readiness.
Prior to COVID19, we worked in the schools with Teen Challenge's Stay Sharp Program. Likewise, Living Free has wonderful curriculum for elementary and middle schoolers that we were developing prior to the pandemic. We are praying for a youth minded team to form that will expand and run these programs. Did you know the Empower Building has 9,000 ft2 of space that is planned for our youth? Will God have you step out of your comfort zone and take on this God-sized project? |

Empower Workforce Development.
Empower Projects exists to promote positive life change by helping employees and clients develop a strong relationship with Christ, the local church, and work skills to succeed in life. We believe it takes a foundational belief in Jesus, strong work ethic and development of job skills to break Cocke County’s high recidivism rate.

Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. Empower Cocke County is working toward bringing inpatient rehabilitation to Newport. We work with a community-based Anti-Drug Coalition to prepare to help those trapped in addiction.
